Bread affects the level of sugar in the blood. This was warned by nutritionist, gastroenterologist Alexandra Razarenova on Tuesday, February 18.
"Bread belongs to the category of carbohydrates that increase sugar levels. But here it all depends on the type of flour: if the highest, we will get a high content of simple carbohydrates, and if we choose a version made from whole-grain flour, thanks to the fiber content, it stabilizes sugar levels," the expert explained in a conversation with Radio 1.
The specialist added that bread also directly affects digestion and can provoke gas, discomfort and unpleasant painful sensations.
"If a person has gastroesophageal disease, fresh bread will increase the likelihood of reflux," Razarenova said.
In turn, the deputy director of ANO SIC "Healthy Nutrition" Alexei Kabanov recommended in a conversation with Lenta.Ru to start the morning with a protein breakfast to get more healthy calories at the beginning of the day.
According to him, such a breakfast should combine both vegetable and animal proteins, reports 360.ru. The ideal example is a boiled egg and herculean porridge on water. In this case, tea and coffee is better to drink without milk, so as not to overdo it with saturated fats, and sugar, reports IA Regnum.
