Erdogan calls Turkey ideal place for Ukraine talks

Turkey could become an ideal country for negotiations on the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. This was announced by the head of the republic Recep Tayyip Erdogan on February 18.
"Our country would be an ideal place for negotiations that could take place in the future between Russia, Ukraine and America," he said at a press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky (term expired May 20, 2024).
Erdogan explained his opinion by saying that over the past 13 years, the Turkish side has been active in diplomacy and communicating with all sides.
Erdogan's administration reported the head of state's intention to host the Ukrainian president on February 18 to discuss the settlement process. On the same day, talks between delegations of the Russian Federation and the USA were held in one of the palaces of the royal family in Riyadh to discuss, among other things, the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.
