It is still premature to talk about compromises between Moscow and Washington. This was stated by Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), who took part in Russian-American talks in Riyadh on February 18.

"It is early to talk about compromises, the sides have started <...> listening to each other," he told Reuters.

At the same time, Dmitriev emphasized that the Russian and American delegations in Riyadh perceive each other as equals and conduct dialog with mutual respect.

Earlier in the day, the head of RDIF reported that representatives of the Russian Federation and the United States are discussing reunification in a number of economic spheres. According to him, Moscow and Washington need to move on to joint projects, including in the Arctic.

Bilateral talks between the delegations of Russia and the United States were held in Riyadh on February 18. The Russian Federation is represented at the meeting by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov and Kirill Dmitriev, who is in charge of the economic aspect.
