In Rostov-on-Don, a court sentenced a design engineer of the defense-industrial complex (DIC) to 12 years in prison for treason. This was reported by the press service of the FSSB in the region on February 18.
According to the investigation, the engineer-designer contacted an employee of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine through the Internet messenger and, performing his tasks, gave him information about the defense industry complex enterprise.
The engineer was prosecuted under Article 275 of the Russian Criminal Code (treason). He was sentenced to 12 years' imprisonment in a strict regime penal colony, writes TASS.
Earlier in the day it was reported that the Murmansk regional court announced the verdict of the Russian citizen Artem Konstantinov, found guilty of high treason. It is specified that he was sentenced to 13 years in a strict regime colony.
