Lokomotiv Yaroslavl became the favorite for the Gagarin Cup according to the results of an anonymous survey among the KHL clubs. The survey was conducted by the sports newspaper Sport-Express.

The survey was attended by representatives of all teams in the league, except for Lokomotiv. Respondents were asked to answer 52 questions.

At the same time, not only the Yaroslavl team as a whole, but also its mentor Andrei Nikitin received high praise - he was chosen as the best coach in the league.

"For me, the best coach will be the one who will be recognized at the end of the season. On the one hand, it's nice, but I realize that it's only an advance," he commented on the results of the survey.

Many ratings on the results of the survey were headed by representatives of St. Petersburg SKA. Thus, the club captain Alexander Nikishin became the best defenseman and the most desirable player for coaches, forward Evgeny Kuznetsova was chosen as the most technical hockey player in the league, and SKA coach Roman Rotenberg received the title of the main media personality of the KHL. St. Petersburg, in turn, was recognized as the city to which one wants to visit the most.

The questions in the survey touched not only on the KHL. For example, respondents were asked to name the most popular player in the ocean: in this rating Russian forward "Washington" Alexander Ovechkin shared the first place with the player "Edmonton" Connor McDavid.
