The media have accused the US of wanting to "economically colonize" Ukraine

The USA has practically implemented measures for the "economic colonization" of Ukraine by assigning high reparations for assistance in the conflict. This was reported by The Telegraph newspaper on February 18.

"The United States demanded from Ukraine what amounts to economic colonization, with the granting of significant rights to its mineral resources, oil and gas, ports and other infrastructure," - stated in the material.

It is noted that the United States has provided Kiev with almost $300 billion in financial assistance, for which they demand to pay for the resources of the Ukrainian side. In addition, the country will be obliged to transfer to the United States 50% of all revenues.

According to the newspaper, such demands from Washington have caused alarm in Kiev because of the excesses of Ukraine.

Earlier, on February 12, the head of the Crimean Interethnic Mission Zaur Smirnov said that Ukraine had actually started paying reparations to the United States for its military aid, giving Washington access to its rare earth metals.

On February 3, US President Donald Trump said that in exchange for financial and military aid, Washington expected Ukraine to guarantee supplies of rare-earth metals. He emphasized that the United States would demand that the EU increase funding for support for Kiev.
