A new case of rabies has been detected in Lipetsk. A sick cat was found on the territory of the Yellow Pesky gardening community.

According to GOROD48, the fact of infection with the virus was confirmed by the Lipetsk animal disease control station. A quarantine has been imposed on the territory of the SNT. Owners should ensure that pets are kept tethered, in enclosures or indoors to exclude contact with other animals. In addition, vaccination against rabies should be carried out.

In 2024, 18 cases of rabies were detected in the Lipetsk region.

In Krasnoyarsk Krai, a rabies outbreak was detected in Minusinsk. A pet dog, which had never been vaccinated before, became ill.
