Head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin has taken personal control of the investigation into the case of attempted murder of a child in Armavir, Krasnodar Territory. The five-year-old boy was attacked by his mother.

Andrei Maslov, chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee for the region, is to report to the head of the Investigative Committee on the progress of the investigation, writes IA KrasnodarMedia.

The incident occurred on February 15 in a hostel in Armavir. A 27-year-old woman decided to punish her five-year-old son for bad behavior and attacked him with a knife. The child was hospitalized with stab wounds to the abdomen and chest.

It turned out that the woman did not help her son for two hours and did not call the medics. When the ambulance did arrive, she claimed it was an accident. Six knives were seized from the scene.

Now the suspect is in custody.
