Quarantine due to ARVI extended in several schools in Birobidzhan

In Birobidzhan, quarantine measures have been extended in several schools. They have been in effect since February 11 because of the high incidence of acute respiratory viral infections.

Thus, from February 18, students from 1 to 4 classes in the special collection school started classes, and for 5-10 classes the quarantine will continue until February 24. Until February 20, the educational process was suspended in school № 8 and gymnasium № 1, and in school № 6 and in some classes of school № 10 - until February 21.

According to deputy head of the city administration Natalia Eremenko, cited by EAOMedia, the schools received recommendations from Rospotrebnadzor on what work should be done in the buildings while students are at home. The city Department of Education is monitoring the situation in schools and kindergartens.

Earlier it was reported that in the Tula region Rospotrebnadzor recommended stores to strengthen preventive measures because of the active circulation of influenza viruses. Employees of retail outlets are advised to wear masks.
