Russians have been told about a new fraud scheme, in which attackers in the guise of school management call teenagers and persuade them to provide a code from "Gosuslugi" to access data, and then initiate account hacking. This was reported on February 18 in the press service of the Department for the organization of the fight against the illegal use of information and communication technologies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

"The teenager under the guise of the head teacher of the school where he studies, called fraudsters and persuaded to report the code to restore access to the account on "Gosuslugi", after which they created the appearance of "hacking" the account", - noted in the Telegram-channel.

After that, allegedly the investigator convinced the schoolboy of the need to conduct a "video search" and "declaration" of the valuables available at home, and then the teenager under the influence of stress handed over valuable things to the courier, hiding them with books.

Citizens were also urged to talk to their children about cyber threats to prevent similar situations.

On the eve of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia notified about sending fraudsters false letters with debts due to allegedly overdue payments, as well as with threats for their non-payment of property seizure. Russians were urged to independently check fines only through "Gosuservices" and the Federal Tax Service to prevent such situations.
