Skiers will walk along the Amur riverbed from Khabarovsk to Komsomolsk-on-Amur


The "Ice and Flame 2025" tourist crossing started in Khabarovsk Krai. The route is laid along the Amur riverbed. Athletes on skis should reach from Khabarovsk to Komsomolsk-on-Amur. The trek is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The participants will have to visit 13 settlements in several districts of the region. They will tell the residents about the events of the Great Patriotic War and the history of the ice crossing. As specified by IA AmurMedia, the route has existed since 2007. During this time seven expeditions have been made.
According to Valentina Maltseva, the first deputy minister of sports of the region, the ski crossing symbolizes the desire to overcome any obstacles, the strength of spirit. And the project itself influences the development of sports tourism and skiing in the region.
There are no professional athletes among the participants, but only amateurs of healthy lifestyle who are fond of sports tourism, physical training, skiing and ski crossings. Some of them have a lot of experience, for example, among the group there are athletes who have overcome the Dyatlov Pass.
The organizer of the crossing is the ANO "CPSI ISKRA", supported by the regional government, the administration of the Komsomolsky district, LLC "Amur Minerals".
For the first time ski trip on the Amur ice from Khabarovsk to Komsomolsk-on-Amur started in December 1933: 6 thousand military builders were getting to the construction site of the City of Youth.
