Attackers promptly change their schemes to steal money from citizens, adjusting the legends of deception to the current news agenda. As a rule, their schemes involve a certain "special safe account of the Central Bank of Russia," to which it is supposedly necessary to transfer or deposit money for its "safety," the press service of the Central Bank of Russia (CBR) told Izvestia on February 18.

The press service noted that no "special safe account in the Central Bank" exists. You can find out the necessary information about your funds in the accounts by calling the bank yourself.

In addition, it is noted the distribution of various videos with comments of pseudo-experts on this topic in messengers and social networks.

"Please note that opening a digital ruble account (digital wallet) and the use of digital national currency will be completely voluntary. Open a digital wallet will be able to open a digital wallet only by the person himself, only if desired and only through the mobile application of his bank, connected to the platform of the digital ruble", - summarized in the press service of the Central Bank.

Earlier, on February 4, the Central Bank reported on the growing number of myths about the digital ruble. They are most often disseminated in social networks, and publications are supplemented with excerpts from the legislation to inspire confidence in the reader.

Konstantin Borodulin, managing director of ratings of financial institutions of the NRA rating service, told Izvestia on January 29 about the prospects of the digital ruble. For example, its use will reduce banks' costs for various operations, including cross-border settlements with friendly states.
