Investigators have launched an investigation into the incident with the An-24 airplane in Yakutsk. This was reported on February 18 in the press service of the Eastern Interregional Investigative Directorate for Transport (EIDT) of the Investigative Committee of Russia
It is noted that the plane was performing a flight on the route Olekminsk - Yakutsk, after which a technical malfunction of the landing gear was detected. The landing was made at the airport of Yakutsk. There were no casualties as a result of the emergency landing.
The check is conducted under Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of safety of movement and operation of air transport"). At the moment, investigators are taking measures to determine the causes of the incident.
Earlier, on January 26, passenger plane Airbus A321, which was flying from Moscow to Sochi, made an emergency landing at Gagarin airport in Saratov, no one was injured. The preliminary cause of the incident is engine failure
