Kaiyi postpones debut of new version of X7 crossover in Russia

The Chinese brand Kaiyi intends to bring to the Russian market all-wheel drive version of the flagship crossover Kaiyi X7 in the third quarter of 2025. This is reported by the analytical agency "Autostat". The company has changed its plans: earlier the debut of the model was scheduled for the II quarter, "Izvestia" drew attention on February 18.

The updated Kaiyi X7 will receive multimedia with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as a voice control function and an expanded color palette of the body. The company is also considering launching the Kaiyi X7 crossover with a hybrid powertrain in the Russian market.

The release date of the updated crossover Kaiyi X3 Pro with a modified design of the front of the body has not changed, its market entry is also scheduled for the III quarter of 2025.

According to Avtostat, 7.9 thousand new Kaiyi cars were sold in Russia in 2024, which is 7.2% more than a year earlier. Three quarters of this number fell on the sedan E5 (6 thousand units).

On December 27 last year it was reported that the company "Kai Rus" announced a recall of 19.8 thousand cars brand Kaiyi. Under the recall fell 1405 crossovers X7, 4799 parkettes X3 and 13.5 thousand sedans E5, sold in the period from 2023 to 2024.
