Production of computers and electronics doubled in Moscow

Moscow manufacturers of computers, optics and electronics in 2024 increased output by more than 2.1 times compared to 2023. Over five years, the industry has grown 5.4 times, said the mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin in his personal blog.

In this case, the volume of production of laptops last year increased five times, semiconductor devices and their parts, electronic computers, as well as sound and video boards - twice, printed circuit boards - by 10.2%. Now there are about 370 technology companies operating in this industry.

As noted by the head of the city, in 2024 the index of industrial production of manufacturing industries in Moscow increased by 17.8% compared to 2023. And for the last five years it has increased by 2.3 times.

At the same time the rate is made on development of innovative productions. Every third enterprise in the capital belongs to high-tech ones. Moscow's electrical engineering enterprises also show good dynamics. Medical instruments and equipment, food and clothing industries are also developing.
