American entrepreneur and head of the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) Ilon Musk wants to send robots with artificial intelligence to Mars next year. He published the corresponding post on February 18 on his page in the social network X (former Twitter).

He noted that a trip to Mars is possible once every 26 months and the next mission is scheduled for November 2026.

"If all goes well, SpaceX will send Starship to Mars along with autonomous robots and Grok artificial intelligence," Musk wrote.

Earlier, on December 29 last year, Musk proposed to establish a direct democracy on Mars. Before that, Musk called for the colonization of Mars. He has repeatedly stated that humanity can survive only if it begins to develop other planets.

In September 2024, the American businessman said that the frequency of flights to Mars will begin to grow exponentially, as the plan is to build a "self-sustaining" city on the planet in the next 20 years, the billionaire said.
