Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), shared his expectations from the planned meeting of the Russian and U.S. delegations in Riyadh on February 18 and emphasized that U. S. businesses have lost $300 billion due to the withdrawal from the Russian market. to CNN' s Matthew Chance.

"I think we want a productive dialog. In fact, it is American business that has lost $300 billion from leaving Russia," a member of the Russian delegation told CNN 's Matthew Chance.

Although the negotiation process has yet to begin, Dmitriev has already met with some of U.S. President Donald Trump's team in Riyadh.

"I think the promise is this: let's have a dialog, let's find the best solution for our countries, for other countries, for the global community", he told an American journalist.

On February 17, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov arrived in Riyadh to participate in Russian-American talks. Earlier in the day, Ushakov said that the talks would be held in a bilateral format. He added that the participants are now facing the question of how to start a dialog on the Ukrainian issue.

On February 13, US President Donald Trump announced a meeting between representatives of Russia and the United States in Saudi Arabia.
