Defense Ministry shows footage of the liberation of Yasenovoye settlement in the DNR


On February 18, the Russian Defense Ministry published footage of combat operations by units of the Center troops group during the liberation of the village of Yasenovoye in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR).
In the course of offensive operations, assault and tank units of the Center troops group hit camouflaged machine gun points, fortified positions and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
Reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were used to identify firing positions.
A tank crew burst into a populated area at full speed and hit a tank that had been hit with an accurate shot to prevent Ukrainian formations from evacuating it.
The tankers then moved deeper into the settlement, where they came under fire from the AFU from ambushes and successfully eliminated two firing points of personnel in the houses with 125-mm fragmentation and high-explosive shells.
After liberating the settlement of Yasenovoye, the attacking aircraft began clearing basements and buildings. On the central building of the settlement of Yasenovoye in the Donetsk People's Republic, the fighters installed the Russian tricolor.
On February 11, the Russian Armed Forces liberated the settlement of Yasenovoye in the Donetsk People's Republic. In the area of responsibility of the Russian army, the AFU lost up to 505 military personnel, as well as a tank, an armored combat vehicle, four artillery pieces and seven vehicles.
