Pentagon chief Hegseth claimed a tax audit from the Biden administration

U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on Feb. 17 said the administration of former U.S. President Joe Biden initiated a tax audit against him before he left.

"Of course the outgoing Biden administration rushed to 'audit' the incoming Secretary of Defense. Total deception," he wrote on the X network (formerly Twitter).

Hegseth also emphasized that he has no intention of backing down from another blow from the party of "norms" and "decency."
