Artists of the "Center" troops group performed on the anniversary of the liberation of Avdiivka

The collective of the front brigade of the song and dance ensemble of the Center troops grouping held its first concert for the residents of Avdeevka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) in honor of the anniversary of the city's liberation. This was reported in the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry on February 18.

"The performance of the creative team was timed to the anniversary of the liberation of the city by the grouping of troops "Center". On an improvised stage, in a temporary residence of civilians, the artists performed several musical and song numbers. The concert program was based on patriotic and modern songs," the military department said.

During the performance, the guests in the auditorium actively applauded and sang along to the familiar words of patriotic songs. At the end of the program, the artists thanked the civilians for the warm welcome, for their courage and heroism.

"One thing that is surprising, perhaps, is that people stay, that people live here, do not run away and do not abandon their home," said Song and Dance Ensemble artist, Sgt. Elena Lupushor.

On February 7, 2024, in the course of fierce fighting, servicemen of the Center Group of Forces liberated the settlement of Avdeevka in the Donetsk People's Republic. At the end of October, the Russian military also liberated Selidovo. The town is located about 40 kilometers northwest of Donetsk and was of strategic importance for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
