Lieutenant Makarov eliminated an AFU machine gun crew with the help of an FPV drone

Lieutenant Vladimir Makarov, together with his platoon, carried out the task of providing air support to units carrying out the task of storming a stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). On Tuesday, February 18, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on the exploits of servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces (AFU) in the zone of the special military operation (SMO).
Makarov piloted an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and carried out its approach to an enemy machine gun crew despite non-stop fire from the AFU. A munition was dropped from the drone, which resulted in the elimination of the enemy unit with the available ammunition. At the same time, engineering structures collapsed, making it easier for Russian servicemen to penetrate the stronghold and clear it.
The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the professionalism and courage of Warrant Officer Alexander Suvorkin, who, acting as part of a group of Russian servicemen, carried out the task of storming the AFU stronghold.
As a result of the enemy's mortar attack, the station providing communication between the Russian servicemen and the command and among themselves was damaged. Suvorkin, despite the ongoing shelling, moved to the site of the damage and promptly repaired the damaged equipment. Communication was restored, enabling the Russian attackers to transmit the coordinates of the enemy mortar position, which was immediately eliminated.
On February 17, the ministry said that Warrant Officer Artur Dilimarsky, acting as part of a motorized rifle company, was carrying out a combat mission to defend one of the strongholds that had been recaptured from the AFU during the offensive.
