Body of second dead fisherman found in Kaliningrad region

The body of the second deceased fisherman was found on the lake Mariyskoye Nizhneye in Kaliningrad region. About it on February 17 reports the management of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in the region in its Telegram-channel.

"As a result of the measures carried out, the body of the second deceased was found at a depth of two meters and extracted from the water," - said in a statement of the Department.

It is noted that the rescue work was complicated by the constant formation of ice cover and low visibility in the search area.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations recalled that on February 15 it was reported that two people drowned on the lake in the village of Prokhladnoe. Rescuers and divers immediately went to the place of the call. The body of one of the victims was found on the day of the incident. The search for the second fisherman lasted more than two days.

Before that, on January 30, two fishermen died after falling through the water on a car under the ice of Lake Baikal. It is specified that EMERCOM rescuers were sent to the search.
