Traffic on the Russian-South Ossetian border through the checkpoint of the Nizhny Zaramag IACP in two directions of exit is suspended for heavy vehicles due to bad weather. This is reported by the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of the Russian Federation in its Telegram-channel on February 17.

"Against the background of deteriorating weather conditions it is impossible to ensure safe passage of vehicles along the Transcaucasian highway," the agency said in a statement.

It is noted that the movement is prohibited for heavy trucks on the section of Buron settlement - North Portal of the Roki tunnel.

The checkpoint will resume operation after the normalization of weather conditions.
