US President Donald Trump's special envoy for Russia and Ukraine Keith Kellogg has said that third countries will not impose any option to end the conflict on Ukraine and that the final decision will be up to the country's President Volodymyr Zelensky (his term expired on May 20, 2024). Reuters reported on February 17 that.

"Zelensky and the people of Ukraine will decide whether to accept any deal," the agency reported.

The politician made such a statement at the NATO Headquarters in Brussels.

On the same day, Russia's permanent representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya assessed the chances of ending the hot phase of the conflict in the region. According to him, the conflict may "end soon".
