- A special firefighting regime has begun to operate in 14 municipalities of Primorye Territory

Special Fire Prevention Regime (SFPR) has been introduced on the territory of 14 municipalities of Primorsky Krai. The abnormally warm and snowless winter led to the deterioration of the fire situation, the regional government reports.
"ODA is introduced within the territorial boundaries of Ussuriysk urban district, urban districts Bolshoi Kamen and ZATO Fokino, Oktyabrsky, Pogranichny, Partizansky, Shkotovsky, Lazovsky, Olginsky, Khankaisky, Khasansky and Khorolsky municipal districts, in the city of Partizansk, Nadezhdinsky district", - stated in the message.
Another six municipalities have started to operate in a heightened state of readiness. We are talking about Vladivostok, Nakhodka, Artemovsk municipal districts, Mikhailovsky, Dalnegorsk and Terneisk municipal districts, writes PrimaMedia IA.
During the special firefighting regime it is forbidden to visit forests, build bonfires and burn garbage, carry out flammable works in forests, on the lands of the forest fund and on the lands of other categories.
According to the Minister of Emergencies of Primorye Alexander Zlatkin, since the beginning of 2025, 587 fires have been recorded on the territory of the region, which is three times more than a year earlier. The largest number of fires occurred in Ussuriysk and Nakhodka municipal districts, Oktyabrsky and Mikhailovsky municipal districts.
Abnormally warm and snowless winter led to the complication of the fire situation, and Zlatkin called "littering of territories" the main cause of fires. The current situation, the minister noted, speaks of poor preparation of municipalities for the fire season - there is no arrangement of minibands, cleaning of settlements from dry vegetation.
Minister of Forestry Konstantin Stepanov said that the year 2025 may be comparable to 2014 in terms of burning - the prerequisites for this are given by the dry winter. This year, seven forest fires have already been registered on an area of 606 hectares, and, as Stepanov noted, all of them are "man-made" in one way or another.
