A man who detonated a grenade in a house with people was convicted in Yaroslavl region

A man who detonated a hand grenade during a quarrel at his dacha in Bolshoi Selo in the Yaroslavl region was sentenced to 8.5 years in a penal colony. This was reported by the regional Prosecutor's office on its website on February 17.

The defendant in September 2023 in the evening in someone else's dacha house quarreled with other people on the grounds of jealousy of his ex-wife. During this conflict, the man detonated a hand fragmentation grenade. Three people were injured, the dacha was damaged to the amount of more than 480 thousand rubles.

"Taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, the court sentenced the perpetrator to eight years and six months of imprisonment with serving the sentence in a penal colony of strict regime. In addition, the court satisfied the civil claims of the victims in the amount of more than 1.5 million rubles," - stated in the message of the department.

The court found the 49-year-old accused guilty under part 3 of article 30, paragraphs "a", "e" of part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Attempted murder of two or more persons, committed in a generally dangerous way"), part 1 of article 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Illegal acquisition, storage, carrying of explosive devices"), part 2 of article 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Intentional destruction or damage to other people's property, committed in a generally dangerous way"). The sentence has not yet entered into legal force.

Earlier, February 11, a woman was detained in Moscow, who wanted to organize an assassination attempt on her husband to stop the process of divorce. Muscovite first turned to private detectives and asked to collect data on her spouse, but then told about the ongoing process of divorce and the search for a killer. The detectives, in turn, turned to the police. The woman was detained during an operational experiment - a meeting with a detective, at which the customer offered 5 million rubles for the murder of her husband.
