Leaders in terms of average monthly income among sole proprietorships are named

The average monthly income of individual entrepreneurs (IE) will amount to Br151 thousand in 2024, which is 9% more than the previous year. This is stated in the research results of the service of safe transactions with freelancers Solar Staff and the bank for entrepreneurs "Blank", which were reviewed by "Izvestia" on February 18. The experts named the leaders by income level, and also drew attention to the growing number of young professionals who chose this form of employment.
The leaders in terms of average monthly income were programmers (376,243 rubles) and web developers (282,647 rubles), as well as marketers (118,000 rubles) and project managers (204,915 rubles).
"Programmers, marketers and other highly qualified specialists show stable income growth. This reflects the high demand for their services and the popularity of the self-employment format. We expect these trends to continue in 2025, thanks to the flexibility and transparent conditions of the tax regime, the spread of instant interbank transactions, the development of EDI (electronic document management. - Ed.) services, as well as the growth of the software (software. - Ed.) market for collaboration," said Vladimir Koritsky, CEO of Solar Staff.
According to analysts, the share of young entrepreneurs (up to 1999 and younger) in 2024 amounted to 3.26% of the total number of registered IE. This is higher than in 2023 (2.89%), but inferior to the data of 2021-2022 (4.35%). The average age of FDWs nationwide reached 35 years, while the median age was 34 years.
The results of the study specify that the overall growth in the number of FEs amounted to 5% year-on-year. Experts attribute this to the attractiveness of the sole proprietorship status, which does not impose restrictions on the level of income, as is the case with the self-employed, as well as the transparent taxation system. It is expected that in 2025 the number of sole proprietorships will continue to increase, especially against the background of the forthcoming tax reform.
"Firstly, taking into account inflation and income growth, it is more profitable for specialists to register a sole proprietorship, because the limits on sole proprietorships are higher than on SMEs (self-employed. - Ed.). For example, designers, developers, consultants and coaches often have a monthly income of more than Br200 thousand per month. Secondly, the IE has a fairly flexible regime for start-up entrepreneurs: there are various forms of payment of taxes and conditions that can be adapted flexibly to the tasks and income of the specialist," - said Deputy Chairman of the Bank for Business Blank Dmitry Litvinov.
Earlier, on February 12, it was reported that this month 86% of surveyed employers faced staffing shortages. This is stated in the results of the study of the Russian School of Management. Businesses are looking for different ways to retain employees and attract new workers. Among them, 58% of companies have planned to increase salaries in 2025.
