In Russia, the demand for flowers from February 1 to February 15 increased almost twofold compared to the same period in January. The most popular products were author's bouquets of peony roses, orchids, hydrangeas and red tulips. This is stated in the research results of analysts of the purse "YuMoneu" and marketplace of flowers and gifts Flowwow, which were read "Izvestia" on February 18.

According to the data of "YuMoneu", during this period, such purchases became 84% more, and buyers - by 82% more. The average check increased by 13%, to 5090 rubles.

According to Flowwow analysts, on February 14, 2025, the most popular products were monobouquets, author's bouquets, as well as flowers in boxes. Year-on-year demand for flowers in general increased by 68%, and the average check became 21% more and amounted to 4159 rubles. In the category of author's bouquets turnover increased by 80%, and the average check rose to 4247 rubles (+16%), turnover for monobouquets increased by 72%, and the average check - to 4147 rubles (+19%).

Experts expect traditional tulips and roses to be the leaders in demand on March 8.

There is also a tendency for an individual approach to the choice of a bouquet and a growing interest in non-standard solutions.

"In particular, the selection of flowers with the help of artificial intelligence is gaining popularity, monthly and annual bouquet subscriptions are also in demand. According to our forecasts, before March 8, the demand for flowers will grow by about 50% compared to last year and about twice as much as February holidays, which in Russia are not celebrated as widely as International Women's Day," said Irina Polyakova, head of corporate customer support service "UMopeu".

Earlier, on February 13, it was reported that women more often expect gifts on a date. Among the surveyed men 38% of respondents usually bring flowers to the meeting, 16% come without a gift, and 25% give something only in honor of the holiday. About 11% have candy, and 10% - jewelry. This is stated in the results of a study by experts of the "UMoneu" wallet and the analytical resource "Check Index" of the company "Platform OFD".
