Among the surveyed Russians, 38% reported that they are annoyed by collecting money for their colleagues' birthdays. This is stated in the results of a survey of the financial marketplace "Vyberu.ru", which was reviewed by "Izvestia" on February 18. Respondents also explained the reasons for such discontent.

At the same time, 64% of this group do not fundamentally do not give money for gifts.

Residents of Moscow and Novosibirsk are most negatively disposed to collecting money for gifts for colleagues, while residents of Vladivostok, Irkutsk and Kemerovo regions are especially warm to this tradition.

36% of respondents have a neutral attitude to the tradition; they do not initiate collections themselves, but always try to participate. The remaining 26% of respondents have a positive attitude to the tradition; they not only constantly give money for gifts to their colleagues, but also actively initiate collections themselves.

When asked what irritates them most of all about corporate gatherings, the negatively-minded respondents, first of all, noted the pointlessness of the tradition (this option was chosen by 53% of respondents). In their opinion, the process makes no sense, as there is a "circulation" of money in the team. Another 32% of this group of respondents emphasized that they "remain in the negative" because of this tradition - usually they spend more money on gifts for colleagues than they receive on their birthday. At the same time, 9% are annoyed by the tradition of "discounting" gifts for colleagues from neighboring departments with whom they do not work closely. The remaining 6% of respondents believe that cash gifts to employees should be paid exclusively from the company's budget.

Respondents with a positive or neutral attitude to corporate dues did not demonstrate unity in choosing a comfortable amount they are willing to spend on a gift for a colleague. Thus, 39% of respondents noted that they are always ready to hand over money for a gift if the amount does not exceed 300-500 rubles. 31% - up to Br1 thousand, 21% - up to Br1.5 thousand and only 9% - over Br1.5 thousand.

Earlier, February 13, it was reported that women expect gifts on a date more often. Among the surveyed men, 38% of respondents usually bring flowers to the meeting, 16% come without a gift, and 25% give something only in honor of the holiday. About 11% have candy, and 10% - jewelry. This is stated in the results of a study by experts of the "UMoneu" wallet and the analytical resource "Check Index" of the company "Platform OFD".
