Kamchatka Governor Solodov reported the imminent eruption of Bezymyannyi volcano

Kamchatka Territory Governor Vladimir Solodov said during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 17 that the Bezymyannyi volcano was preparing to erupt.
Solodov noted that the winter in the region has been cold, with frosts as low as -50 degrees Celsius.
"Scientists say that Bezymyannyi volcano is preparing to erupt. We have in general seismic and volcanic activity is very high," he said.
According to the governor, August 18, 2024 was the strongest eruption with an intensity of seven points, but thanks to the coordinated work of special services avoided serious consequences.
Earlier, on January 31, the Main Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Kamchatka region reported the activation of the Bezymyanny volcano. There was observed an increase in seismic activity and temperature rise of thermal anomaly in the growing dome.
