Illegal wastewater discharge was stopped in two districts of Moscow region. Illegal water outlets were eliminated after the intervention of environmental inspectors of the regional Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, reports the department's press-service on Monday, February 17.

Thus, in the urban district of Balashikha specialists of ecological supervision together with representatives of the mayor's office revealed the signs of wastewater discharge from the land plot in the microdistrict of Novoye Pavlino. Dangerous water could have fallen into the Chernavka River. The spillway was dammed by the forces of communal workers, and the owner of the site will announce a warning.

Another similar case occurred in Dmitrovsky district. Signs of wastewater discharge, which could get into the Meshcherikha River, were found near a cottage community in the village of Rybaki. The illegal spillway was also eliminated.

According to the online edition of "Podmoskovye Segodnya", the situation in both districts remains under control of the regional Ministry of Ecology.

Earlier it was reported that the reconstruction of Shchelkovsky inter-district sewage treatment facilities was completed in the Moscow region. The capacity of the facility is 400 thousand cubic meters per day with a coverage of more than 1.3 million people.
