The State Duma pointed out Zelensky's dependence on the US

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy (whose term of office expired on May 20, 2024) is dependent on the USA, he will sign any documents and will not go against the will of his "master". This was stated by Viktor Vodolatsky, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots, to Izvestia on February 17.
Earlier in the day, in an interview with NBC, Zelensky said that he would never agree to the decisions concluded between Russia and the United States without Kiev's participation.
According to the MP, the Ukrainian president's time is up, and Zelensky himself realizes this, but continues to oppose settlement options for the sake of his "audience of neo-Nazis" who still support him.
Vodolatsky noted that Zelensky used US money to buy villas, palaces and other objects abroad, which is well known in Washington.
"Therefore, he is dependent, he can do nothing against the will of his master (the U.S. - Ed.). And so all decisions that will be made and signed between Russia and the United States will be strictly implemented by Zelensky and his team," the Duma deputy said.
On that day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that on the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin, his aide Yuri Ushakov and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov would fly to Riyadh on February 17 to meet with the U.S. delegation. He noted that the meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 18, and will be devoted to the restoration of a set of bilateral relations between the Russian Federation and the USA and the preparation of possible negotiations on the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.
On February 14, it became known that the Ukrainian leader refused to sign a document provided by the US side, according to which the states would have received rights to half of the Ukrainian resources not yet extracted. Reuters reported that the parties agreed to finalize some details of the agreement.
