The European Commission (EC) is concerned about the actions of EC head Ursula von der Leyen to "simplify" the European Union (EU) norms and the rapid implementation of the reform program to combat bureaucracy. Politico reported on February 17.

"When we are moving at this speed, how can we be sure that we are doing everything right?" - stated in the material.

According to the publication, the head of the EC intends to implement a centralized program to simplify the rules and regulations of the EU, which provides for a change of agenda to increase the competitiveness of the community's economy.

However, according to the authors of the material, von der Leyen did not notify the participants of the decision. Many EC employees were put before the fact after the statement of the head of the agency.

However, the reform plan was supported by the business of a number of EU countries, which include Germany and France, as well as right-wing political forces of the community, including the European People's Party.

Earlier on February 12, the leader of France's National Rally party, Jordaan Bardella, said that von der Leyen had turned Europe into a "hell where it is nightmarish to invest." The politician noted that in the last five years von der Leyen worked with the French parliament's committee on European affairs, which was "a living hell for business."

Prior to that, on February 5, the newspaper Politico, citing sources, said that the EU countries are "fed up" with the attempts of the head of the EC to manage the foreign policy of the association. At the same time, French politician Florian Philippot said that the head of the EC and the entire EU should be sent to a special tribunal.
