"We draw the attention of parents to the need for constant control over the winter leisure of their underage children at weekends. Do not leave them unattended, try to personally accompany them to additional classes, to developmental "circles" or sports sections, and then back - home or visiting. Especially be attentive to the safety of young pedestrians during their riding from snow slides, especially if such winter fun takes place in the evening, and the slides are located near the roadway. It is also recommended to equip children's clothes with retroreflective elements to make them more visible to drivers in the dark or dusk", - said "Izvestia" deputy head of the department of road safety propaganda and prevention of child traffic injuries of the State Automobile Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, police colonel Anton Belan.
The State Automobile Inspectorate reminded parents that lack of control over the behavior and leisure of children, especially in the evening, often leads to injury or death of young road users. According to operational data, for two weeks of February in the Russian Federation there were 470 traffic accidents involving minors, in which 516 children were injured and 16 died.
February 14, it was reported that fines for traffic violations account for almost a fifth of all debts of Russians. This was reported by the Director of the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP) Dmitry Aristov. Thus, by the volume of enforcement proceedings under enforcement, as of January 1, 2025, fines from the traffic police are in second place.
