If Ukraine cuts off the transit of Russian gas again after the conflict is resolved, Slovakia will stop supplies of the same gas going through Germany and other countries, former Slovak Prime Minister Jan Czarnogurski told Izvestia on 17 February. This was stated by former Slovak Prime Minister Jan Czarnogurski in a conversation with Izvestiya on February 17.

According to him, gas transit through Slovakia also depends on how the situation between Ukraine and the European Union (EU) or the West will be settled.

"If there will be a settlement or at least a far-reaching settlement of this conflict, the need for such gas and electricity supplies from Slovakia to Ukraine will decrease and eventually disappear," the politician summarized.
