The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia has been notified about the mailing by fraudsters of false letters with debts due to allegedly overdue payments, as well as with threats for non-payment and seizure of property. This is evidenced by the materials of the Department on February 17.

"Citizens receive "official letters" from the agencies, in which they inform about debts and threaten fines and seizure of property in case of non-payment," - "RIA Novosti" reports the department.

In addition, it is specified that fraudsters indicate the amount of debt and attach a QR code or a link to go to payment through the bank. Also for a faster transfer of funds fraudsters offer "discounts", which are valid only for online payment.

Russians were urged to independently check fines only through "Gosuservices" and the Federal Tax Service to prevent such situations.

Earlier, on February 11, the IS-company Angara Security reported that in the run-up to the holidays, attackers have invented new fraud schemes. Thus, they can report about a supposed parcel with a gift from a relative who placed an order in an expensive salon. Russians are able to rashly confirm the delivery address and give the code from the SMS to the courier who will "deliver the parcel".
