No substantive talks have been held so far about the introduction of European troops to Ukraine. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said this on February 17, commenting on statements by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer about the possible deployment of British troops in Ukraine.

"The Europeans are now talking a lot about peacekeeping contingents. Both the French and the British. This is indeed true, but we know with you the rules for the deployment of peacekeeping contingents. So far, no one has had any substantive conversations on this subject," he said.
