Russian singer Serge presented a new song called "Russia" on Monday, February 17.

According to the musician, it was an honor for him to present the composition in the year announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin as the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland.

"As you all know, 2025 is declared by the President of the Russian Federation the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland, and I am honored to present my new work in this very year on the eve of one of the main public holidays of our country, which is so called - the Day of the Defender of the Fatherland," he wrote in his Telegram-channel.

It is noted that the author of the words was Serge himself, while the author of music - Belarusian pop singer and composer Ruslan Alekhno.

Earlier, February 14, director Olesya Shigina reported that the Kremlin Palace would host the closing of the festival "Cinema in the service of the Fatherland. It was specified that the festival is fully dedicated to the Special Military Operation (SMO) and is a large diversified platform, which through film, music and painting tells and shows the audience both incredible feats and labor achievements of the people for the prosperity of Russia.
