A seven-year-old boy nearly drowned in a Moscow swimming pool


In Moscow, a seven-year-old boy almost died during swimming lessons. This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia on February 17.
The incident occurred on February 16 in the complex "Nadezhda" on Krupskaya Street. According to investigators, the child could not get out of the pool on his own and received bodily injuries.
The coach was supposed to watch the lesson, who was distracted by the phone and did not notice how the child went under water.
The father of the injured boy Andrei told Izvestia that he learned about the incident from the visitors of the pool.
"I'm in the locker room of his (son. - Ed.) waiting to help him dress, get ready. A boy from the group comes out and says: "Are you the father of the boy who drowned?". That's how I found out about the incident yesterday," the man reported.
According to him, with safety in the sports complex is "a mess", and the nurse can not provide first aid. Andrei also drew attention to the fact that no one called an ambulance to the injured boy.
"No one called an ambulance to the child. I found him ten minutes after the incident in the nurse's office, myself called an ambulance, the police. Only after that the staff there ran, some began to take action," - recalls the boy's father.
Now the child is in intensive care. A criminal case under Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet safety requirements") has been opened.
Earlier, on January 16, it was reported that in Krasnoyarsk, an 11-year-old boy died during a training session on sports tourism in the gymnasium because of a fall from a height. A criminal case under Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Negligence resulting in the death of a person") was initiated over the incident.
