Users have installed VK Video 60 million times

Since its official release in September 2023, the VK Video app has been downloaded 60 million times on mobile devices and Android TV. This was reported by VK's press service on February 17.

The majority of installations - 35 million - came on Android, 15.4 million - on Android TV and 9 million - on iOS. In the peak month, Russian users downloaded the app 8.4 million times.

Over the year, the total time of daily viewing in VK Video increased 23 times. The leader in terms of viewing time among all platforms was Smart TV, where in January each user spent 221 minutes in the application, which is 50% more than a year earlier. The daily record of views amounted to 3.3 billion.

The main factors behind the growth in installations were the expansion of original content, the development of tools for creators and several major advertising campaigns aimed at raising awareness of the service and its features.

In December last year, VK's press service reported that the total number of content authors admitted to the VK Video content monetization program reached 81,000. It was specified that according to the first results, the average income of authors has grown 2.5 times since the launch.
