Medvedev overtakes Djokovic in the ATP ranking and becomes the sixth racket of the world

Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev has become the sixth racket of the world. The updated ranking was published on the website of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).

The athlete moved up two places, surpassing Serbia's Novak Djokovic and Australia's Alex de Minaur. Also in the top 100 were Russia's Andrey Rublev, who rounded out the top ten, Karen Khachanov (21st) and Roman Safiullin (71st).

The leader of the world ranking is still Italian Yannick Cinner. Alexander Zverev is in second place, and Carlos Alcaraz is in third place.

The previous day Medvedev lost to Hamada Medjedovic of Serbia in the semifinals of the ATP-250 tournament. Medjedovic defeated the Russian athlete with the score 6:3, 6:2.
