The conflict in Ukraine is de facto over, and further NATO expansion is also over. The American magazine The National Interest (NI) writes that.

"The de facto conflict in Ukraine is over. [US President Donald] Trump has not stated this directly, but through common efforts, the American leadership has come to the conclusion that hostilities can no longer continue," - stated in the material.

It is also noted that Washington is gradually reducing financial assistance to Kiev for a more rapid end to hostilities. The authors of the material believe that in this situation, Europe will not have enough funds "to support" the Ukrainian troops.

According to the publication, without military assistance from NATO members, Kiev would not be able to conduct conflict actions with Russia. In addition, it is emphasized that in most countries the outcome of the conflict should be perceived in favor of Russia because of the significant superiority on the front.

Earlier, on February 9, American journalist Jackson Hinkle said that Ukraine's surrender is the way to resolve the conflict without any additional conditions. The journalist also noted that this was the only possible solution.
