In Kamchatka, a check has been launched in connection with the disappearance of two tanker sailors

An investigation was organized in Kamchatka after two sailors, who arrived to unload a tanker in the village of Korf, disappeared. This was reported on February 17 in the press service of the Eastern Interregional Investigative Department on Transport of the IC of Russia.

"Kamchatka investigative department on transport of the Eastern Interregional Investigative Department of the IC of Russia is conducting an investigation on the indications of a crime under Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of safety of movement and operation of water transport")", - stated in the message of the press service in Telegram-channel.

It is specified that mechanical damage was found on the boat. In the place where it was found there was a lot of floating ice.

In addition, the investigators began to conduct verification activities in order to establish all the circumstances of the incident.

About the disappearance of two sailors of the tanker, which arrived to the village of Korf to unload fuel and lubricants, became known earlier in the day. The search operations were suspended due to weather conditions. At the same time, Minister of Emergency Situations of the Kamchatka Territory Sergey Lebedev said that a helicopter was involved in the search for the missing sailors.
