Over the past 24 hours, six militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have surrendered in the zone of responsibility of the Western group of troops. This was reported by the head of the press center of the grouping Ivan Bigma on February 17.

"During the day the losses of the enemy amounted to more than 165 servicemen. Six servicemen of the AFU surrendered as prisoners of war," he told TASS.

According to him, Russian servicemen in the area of responsibility of the Western group of troops destroyed 20 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the AFU, five UAV control points, and an enemy Starlink satellite communication station.

A captured Ukrainian serviceman, Oleksandr Prokopenko, said on February 1 that AFU fighters can liquidate fellow servicemen if they are captured. He himself came under such an attack. According to him, Ukrainian FPV drones started hitting the captives after they entered the Russian positions.
