Adrien Brody and Mikey Madison won BAFTA awards for best actor and actress

American actor Adrien Brody, who played the main character in the movie "The Brutalist", won the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) award for Best Actor, and actress Madison Mikey won the Best Actress category for her performance in the movie "Anora". This was reported by The Guardian newspaper on February 16.

It is specified that Brody was previously honored with a Golden Globe Award and nominated for an Oscar for the same role. For the award BAFTA with him also competed Timothee Chalomé ("Bob Dylan: Nobody Knows"), Colman Domingo ("Sing Sing"), Rafe Fiennes ("Conclave"), Hugh Grant ("Heretic") and Sebastian Stan ("The Apprentice").

Competing with Mikey were Selena Gomez ("Emilia Perez"), Ariana Grande ("Wicked Felicity"), Isabella Rossellini ("Conclave") and Jamie Lee Curtis ("The Last Dancer").
