In the capital of India, New Delhi, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.0 was recorded. This was reported by the newspaper Hindustan Times on February 17.

It is reported that the tremors were felt around 05:36 am (03:06 Moscow time) at a depth of 5 kilometers.

"The earthquake, which affected Delhi, Noida, Indirapuram and other regions of the National Capital Region, occurred at a point with coordinates 28.59 north latitude and 77.16 east longitude," the publication said, citing the National Seismology Center.

The day before, two earthquakes occurred in the west of Iran's Khuzestan province. Thus, the first earthquake with a magnitude of 4.7 occurred at a distance of 73 km from the city of Khorrembad. Later, the seismological center reported about the second recorded tremor with a magnitude of 5.3, which occurred in almost the same place.
