Russian Navy ships take part in the opening of a naval exercise in Indonesia


The city of Denpasar on the island of Bali in the Republic of Indonesia hosted the opening of the multilateral naval exercise "Komodo-2025" with the participation of ships of the Russian Navy. This was reported on February 17 in the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
It is specified that the crews of corvettes of the Pacific Fleet (PF) of the Russian Navy "Rezky" and "Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov" took part in the opening ceremony. The Russian delegation is headed by Admiral Vladimir Vorobyov, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy.
Also the heads of the Indonesian Navy (Navy) and Air Force (Air Force), as well as ministers and Bali Governor Wayan Koster attended the solemn event.
During the opening ceremony, the ships of the participating countries marched in a general formation under the flags of their respective nations. Indonesian Air Force planes and helicopters flew in the sky over the water area. Demonstrative introductions for the guests of the event were of a national and cultural nature. The exercise participants have a number of official coastal phase activities ahead of them.
The Komodo 2025 exercise, organized by the Indonesian Navy, involves warships and observers from more than 30 countries. The exercise will last until February 22 and will end with the sea phase, where all ships of the participating countries will be involved.
A detachment of Russian Navy ships comprising the corvettes Rezky and Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov of the Talnakh Concentrator Naval Shipyard in support of the medium sea tanker (MST) Pechenga arrived at the Bali Island roadstead on February 15 to take part in the multilateral naval exercise Komodo-2025.
