According to Kutsenko, the detective, especially adventure, is an undeservedly forgotten genre.

"The idea of the movie belongs to the general producer Vadim Byrkin. This is a little-known page of Russian-Chinese history. In 1928, the Chinese communists, because of the dangerous situation in their country, had to hold their sixth congress in the Moscow region. This is a historical fact", - shared the actor.

In "Red Silk" starred popular Russian and Chinese actors. The performer of one of the main roles Zheng Hanyi studied in St. Petersburg, and other foreign artists producers invited from China. Part of the shooting took place at the largest movie studio in the world Hengdian World Studios. As Kutsenko noted, there is a whole city there, built in different eras. "Red Silk", in turn, was filmed in Shanghai in the 1920s and 1930s.
