Elastic tanks made of polymer materials are used in the SWO zone in warehouses

At present, the Russian Army is increasingly using elastic tanks made of polymer materials at field depots for accumulation, receipt and dispensing of fuel. Colonel Vladimir Demirov, head of the Rocket Fuel and Fuels Directorate of the Resource Support Department of the Russian Defense Ministry, told Izvestia.

According to Demirov, the formed formations will supply fuel and water to units on the line of contact.

"Their mobility, ability to maneuver fuel reserves without demasking them, as well as their ease of use have proven their effectiveness. To provide and work with them, special units equipped with mobile storage kits with a capacity of 1,200 cubic meters each have been created as part of the logistics brigades," he specified.

In Russia, February 17 is celebrated the Day of Fuel Service of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

Earlier Izvestia wrote that several new pipeline brigades will be created in the Russian army. The principle decision on their formation has already been made in the Ministry of Defense.

These compounds are needed to supply troops with all kinds of fuel and water during large-scale combat operations. In addition to solving military tasks, they have repeatedly come to the aid of civilians during emergencies. Separate pipeline brigades were created in the Russian army after the Great Patriotic War.
