Criminal case opened after gas cylinder explosion in cafe in Leningrad Region

A criminal case was initiated against the owner of a catering establishment in the village of Ust-Lug, where six people were injured as a result of a gas cylinder explosion. This was reported on February 16 in the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Leningrad region.

"Kingisepp inter-district investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Leningrad region in respect of an individual entrepreneur a criminal case has been initiated on the grounds of a crime under part 2 of article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet the safety requirements of life and health of consumers, resulting in negligent infliction of serious harm to human health")", - stated in the message of the press service in the Telegram-channel.

It is specified that specialists have established the root causes of the incident. At the moment, the individual entrepreneur is detained and awaiting the filing of charges. Additional circumstances of the incident are being established.

The incident occurred in the Krakolie neighborhood earlier in the day. In the Prosecutor's office of the Leningrad region specified that there was a fire in a catering establishment. At the same time it was reported that the number of victims in the explosion of a gas cylinder in a catering establishment in the village of Ust-Luga increased to six people.
